Vice President of Digital & Content Marketing
Michael O’Brien directly oversees the digital content and social media efforts of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), the destination marketing organization for Las Vegas and Southern Nevada.
Michael joined the LVCVA from MGM Resorts International developing key marketing programs across multiple properties including Bellagio, ARIA and The Mirage. He executed robust, multi-channel tactics to drive revenue opportunities with the luxury hotel market, entertainment, food and beverage, attractions and hotel events. Led the strategic direction for owned social channels, brand development, hotel offers, email marketing and property activations.
With his steadfast leadership, and focus, Michael has built an amazing team dynamic and finds innovative solutions for the ever-evolving space of digital marketing.
The LVCVA is charged with marketing Southern Nevada as a tourism and convention destination worldwide and with operating the 4.6 million-square-foot Las Vegas Convention Center. With 150,000 hotel rooms and 15 million square feet of meeting and exhibit space in Las Vegas alone, the LVCVA's mission centers on attracting leisure and business visitors to the area. The LVCVA also owns the Las Vegas Convention Center Loop, an underground tunnel designed by The Boring Company and the Las Vegas Monorail, an elevated 3.9-mile system with seven stops throughout the resort corridor.
