For more than 70 years, the LVCVA Archive has captured the sights and sounds of the world’s leading destination, promoting Las Vegas by documenting unforgettable images on film. Founded in 1947, the LVCVA Archive plays a key role in marketing Las Vegas as a division of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and serving as a resource to national and international news organizations producing stories about the destination. The LVCVA Archive captures photos and video of special events, entertainment and attractions in Las Vegas, as well as the Southern Nevada destinations of Laughlin, Mesquite and Boulder City, while an active preservation program safeguards this rich historical archive for future generations.
