Vice President of Marketing

H. Fletch Brunelle is the Vice President of Marketing of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), the destination marketing organization for Las Vegas and Southern Nevada that also owns and operates the Las Vegas Convention Center, one of the largest convention centers in the United States.
 
In his role, Mr. Brunelle oversees the organization’s marketing, advertising and sales efforts, and its work with R&R Partners, including the evolution of the famous What Happens Here, Stays Here campaign, the most successful destination marketing campaign in history. He originally joined the LVCVA in 1988 as a research coordinator, before moving on to MGM Resorts International in 1992, where he enjoyed a successful 27-year career in various capacities including finance, development, sales, marketing, and operations.
 
A native of Las Vegas, Mr. Brunelle returned to the LVCVA to lead its marketing efforts in 2019. He holds a master of business administration and a bachelor of science in business administration, both from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  
 
Mr. Brunelle is currently a member of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Graduate College Dean’s Leadership Council, and a mentor at University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ William F. Harrah College of Hospitality.
 
The LVCVA is charged with marketing Southern Nevada as a tourism and convention destination worldwide and with operating the 4.6 million-square-foot Las Vegas Convention Center. With 150,000 hotel rooms and 14 million square feet of meeting and exhibit space in Las Vegas alone, the LVCVA's mission centers on attracting leisure and business visitors to the area. The LVCVA also owns the Las Vegas Convention Center Loop, an underground tunnel designed by The Boring Company and the Las Vegas Monorail, an elevated 3.9-mile system with seven stops throughout the resort corridor
