Ed Finger is the chief financial officer for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), the destination marketing organization for Las Vegas and Southern Nevada that also owns and operates the Las Vegas Convention Center, one of the largest convention centers in the United States.

Mr. Finger leads the finance, research center, transportation, people and culture, information technology, risk management, and safety functions. The LVCVA’s transportation program includes the operations of the Las Vegas Monorail and the Las Vegas Convention Center Loop.

Mr. Finger has 25 years of experience in public sector management and finance. Before joining the LVCVA in 2016, he served as the deputy county manager for Adams County, Colorado, assistant county manager for Clark County, Nevada, finance director for the City of Thornton, Colorado, and senior auditor at Grant Thornton, LLP.

Mr. Finger holds a Master of Science in finance and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Colorado at Denver. He is a certified public accountant (CPA), a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and previously served as president and board member of the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants.

The LVCVA is charged with marketing Southern Nevada as a tourism and convention destination worldwide and with operating the 4.6 million-square-foot Las Vegas Convention Center. With nearly 155,000 hotel rooms and more than 15 million square feet of meeting and exhibit space in Las Vegas alone, the LVCVA's mission centers on attracting leisure and business visitors to the area. The LVCVA also owns the Las Vegas Convention Center Loop, an underground tunnel designed by The Boring Company and the Las Vegas Monorail, an elevated 3.9-mile system with seven stops throughout the resort corridor.
