With the addition of the NFL, NHL, WNBA and USL as well as a second NASCAR Cup Series weekend in recent years, our city has burnished its already strong reputation as a top-tier sports destination and established a legitimate claim to the title of “Sports Capital of the World.”

Allegiant Stadium

In one of the most anticipated franchise relocations in recent years, the NFL’s silver and black now calls Allegiant Stadium, and the Silver State home. The 2020 move by the Las Vegas Raiders, one of pro football’s most storied teams, marks the long-awaited arrival of America’s most popular professional sport in Las Vegas.

NHL T Mobile Arena

The Vegas Golden Knights made their debut in the 2017-2018 NHL season, immediately captivating the sports world with a historic run to the Stanley Cup Finals that permanently established a hockey fan base in Southern Nevada. On game nights T-Mobile Arena, a.k.a. the Fortress, is one of the destination’s most rollicking spots.

UFC Arena

Building on our legendary reputation as the world’s greatest fight city, Las Vegas has played host to over 100 Ultimate Fighting Championship main events – over four times more than any other city in the world.

With the state-of-the-art Las Vegas Motor Speedway complex located just minutes from the Vegas Strip, our city plays host to a number of racing events throughout the year, highlighted by two NASCAR Cup races annually, the Pennzoil 400 and the South Point 400.

WNBA Arena

The Las Vegas Aces relocated to the Strip from San Antonio before the 2018 season, and now call Mandalay Bay’s Michelob ULTRA Arena home. The Aces quickly became one of the most exciting teams in the league and thrilled fans when they won the WNBA Championship in 2023.

Major League Baseball

Las Vegas’ longest-running current professional franchise got its start in 1983 as the Las Vegas Stars. In 2019, the team rebranded as the Las Vegas Aviators, became the Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics and played its first season in the new, state-of-art Las Vegas Ballpark.

USL Arena

Employing unique Las Vegas flair through its neon-inspired logo, Las Vegas Lights FC debuted in the 2018 season, and has won a loyal audience thanks to its embrace of both soccer culture and the iconography of its home city.

The destination’s newest franchise, the Henderson Silver Knights, is the affiliate team of the Vegas Golden Knights and will further build the destination’s hockey fan base when it debuted in the 2020-2021 season.
