Executive
Executive Department
The Executive Department is responsible for the general administration of the LVCVA and is not only comprised of the offices of the President, Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents and Board of Directors but also Internal Audit, Finance, Legal Counsel, Human Resources, and Public Affairs. Executive management meets daily with employees, hotel CEO's, community leaders, and convention association presidents to discuss any potential problems, as well as changes in the trends of the travel and convention industries.

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is comprised of 14 members representing the County, the incorporated cities within the County, and various segments of industry. The Board's primary function is to formulate policies to guide the LVCVA in fulfilling its mission of attracting an ever-increasing number of visitors to Southern Nevada.
Internal Audit
Internal Audit is responsible for determining whether organizational units are performing their planning, accounting, custodial or control activities in compliance with management instructions, applicable policies and procedures and in a manner consistent with both LVCVA objectives and high standards of administrative practice.
Finance & Purchasing
Finance and Purchasing is responsible for supporting the LVCVA's best interest by providing professional financial services of consistency, quality, and integrity. These services rely on systems for financial reporting and analysis, accounts payable, accounting, payroll, asset management, cash management, investments, purchasing, contracts and central warehouse.
Legal Counsel
Legal Counsel meets with other divisions to ensure compliance with local government, state and federal laws, assist in preparation of proposed legislation, and conducts lobbying activities, acts as general counsel to the LVCVA Board of Directors, and drafts and approves legal documents (i.e., contracts, bids proposals).
Human Resources
Human Resources is responsible for policies, procedures, program development and implementation of the full spectrum of the Authority's human resources functions and programs. This department develops, promotes and implements improved principles, standards, policies, procedures, services and systems governing the overall organization and workforce of the Authority, as well as managing the Authority's system for establishing internal agency-wide policies and procedures. Human Resources provides advice, guidance and support to Authority-wide initiatives, issues, priorities and goals, including but not limited to employee services, cultural diversity and health and wellness.
Public Affairs
The Public Affairs Department is responsible for a broad spectrum of media relations and communications activities, focused on one principal goal: to generate positive news media coverage of the Las Vegas destination on a domestic and worldwide basis. Secondary and tertiary activities are geared toward creating community awareness of the LVCVA's function and mission, along with internal communications programs conducted to disseminate knowledge of the LVCVA's activities among employees. The Public Affairs department implements ongoing proactive media outreach programs designed to extend Las Vegas' leisure and business brands around the globe.
Purchasing & Contracts
The LVCVA Purchasing Department is responsible for identifying suppliers and contractors for our business, and to notify them of formal bids.
