John Schreiber is vice president of business sales for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), the destination marketing organization for Las Vegas and Southern Nevada that also owns and operates the Las Vegas Convention Center, one of the largest convention centers in the United States.

Mr. Schreiber’s responsibilities include overseeing the trade show sales team, the business development team, the convention sales team and the LVCVA Eastern Regional Sales Office in Washington D.C.

Mr. Schreiber joined the LVCVA in 2011 as a sales executive, was later promoted to director of convention center sales, and now serves as the vice president of business sales.

Mr. Schreiber has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry in both Southern and Northern Nevada. He has served as leisure sales manager for Caesars Palace, director of tour and travel at Silver Legacy Resort Casino in Reno and vice president of sales for Station Casinos in Las Vegas. Mr. Schreiber currently serves on the board of directors for the Southwest chapter of IAEE and holds a Certified Exhibition Management (CEM) certificate.

A resident of Nevada since 1984, Mr. Schreiber is a graduate of Bishop Gorman High School and attended Loyola University, New Orleans as well as the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

The LVCVA is charged with marketing Southern Nevada as a tourism and convention destination worldwide and with operating the 4.6 million-square-foot Las Vegas Convention Center. With 150,000 hotel rooms and 14 million square feet of meeting and exhibit space in Las Vegas alone, the LVCVA's mission centers on attracting leisure and business visitors to the area. The LVCVA also owns the Las Vegas Convention Center Loop, an underground tunnel designed by The Boring Company and the Las Vegas Monorail, an elevated 3.9-mile system with seven stops throughout the resort corridor.
