TRAVEL AGENTS RACE TO FIND THE CLUES WITH US AIRWAYS VACATIONS' 4TH ANNUAL SCAVENGER HUNT

Travel Agents Turn Las Vegas Upside-Down for a Chance to Win $25,000 in Air Travel


TEMPE, Ariz., July 24, 2009--US Airways Vacations and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) have teamed up for the fourth year in a row to offer travel agents a chance to win their share of $25,000 in air travel with the Las Vegas Scavenger Hunt.

The top 30 agencies that book the most vacation packages through US Airways Vacations to Las Vegas by Nov. 20 with travel completed by Dec. 15 have the chance to send a representative and a guest to Las Vegas for the Scavenger Hunt. Once in Las Vegas, the specially selected travel agents will split into teams of five and follow clues throughout the Strip, picking up various items at hotels. The winning team will split $25,000 in US Airways Gift Cards with each team member taking home $5,000 in flight credits.

The scavenger hunt incentives apply to domestic travel agencies only. To be eligible, travel agencies must register online at usvtravelagents.com/money. In addition, at least one agent in the agency must be a US Airways Vacations Specialist at www.tauniv.com and must be Vegas Certified at www.lvcva.com/traveltrade/vegas-certified by Nov. 30.
