OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE OR RESERVATIONS REQUIRED TO ENTER OR RECEIVE A PRIZE. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

These Official Rules apply for the "Vegas Business Pays Off" Sweepstakes promotion ("Sweepstakes") conducted by Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, 3150 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, NV 89109 ("Sponsor"). The Sweepstakes will start at 12:00 PM (noon) Eastern Standard Time ("EST") on March 1, 2010 and will end at 12:00 PM (noon) Eastern Daylight Time ("EDT") on June 30, 2010 (the "Promotional Period"). By entering this Sweepstakes, you agree to the Terms in these Official Rules.

  1. SWEEPSTAKES ENTRANTS AND PRIZE RECIPIENTS MUST BE LEGAL RESIDENTS OF ONE OF THE FIFTY (50) UNITED STATES, THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA OR CANADA (EXCEPT QUEBEC) WHO ARE MEETING PLANNERS OR LICENSED TRAVEL AGENTS, 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AT TIME OF ENTRY TO BE ELIGIBLE. VOID IN QUEBEC AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. SWEEPSTAKES IS SUBJECT TO ALL APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS. Employees of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority ("LVCVA") (the "Sponsor"), and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions, advertising and promotion, fulfillment and/or judging agencies, and related entities, and their immediate families are not eligible ("Related Entities").
  2. TWO WAYS TO ENTER: A) Via the Internet ("Online Entries"): If you are a licensed Travel Agent or Meeting Planner, between 12:00 PM (noon) EST on March 1, 2010 and 12:00 PM (noon) EDT on June 30, 2010, visit the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority at www.LVCVA.com, click on the Meeting Planners banner, then click on the Request For Proposal banner and follow the on-screen instructions by entering your required contact information along with your Request For A Proposal, then book an event (minimum of 50 rooms) that is to take place in Las Vegas between March 1, 2010 and December 31, 2011 to be entered into the Sweepstakes and submit your entry ("Entry"). Entries must be received by 12:00 PM (noon) EDT on June 30, 2010 and event must be for a minimum of fifty (50) rooms and must take place between March 1, 2010 and December 31, 2011 to be eligible for the random drawing. OR, B) Via the U.S. Mail: You may enter via mail by hand printing your complete name, your company/agency’s name, your company/agency’s web address, your company/agency’s address, your e-mail address and your company/agency’s phone number (including area code) on a 3" x 5" piece of paper, and mailing to: "Vegas Business Pays Off" Sweepstakes, c/o Centra Marketing & Communications, LLC, 1400 Old Country Road, Suite 420-Dept.-311-PL, Westbury, NY 11590. Mailed Entries must be postmarked by June 30, 2010 and received by July 8, 2010 to be eligible for the random drawing. Limit a maximum of one (1) online entry per booking/event. Your entry constitutes your consent to participate in this Sweepstakes and your consent for the Sponsor to obtain your name, email address and other information for the purpose of administering this Sweepstakes and for other uses by Sponsor as permitted by applicable law. Entries are the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, misaddressed, postage due, or otherwise misdirected entries that are processed late or incorrectly or are lost due to computer or electronic malfunction or other error. Multiple or duplicate entries will be disqualified.
  3. RANDOM DRAWING: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will be selected in a random drawing on or about February 1, 2012 from among all eligible online and mailed entries received. Odds of winning will depend upon the number of eligible online and mailed entries received.
  4. ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: Grand Prize consists of one (1) $5,000 American Express Gift Card (not redeemable for cash and subject to cards terms and conditions). The retail value of the Grand Prize is $5,000.Grand Prize Winner may not choose the cash value in lieu of the prize. No substitution, assignment, or transfer of any prize permitted. In the event the entire Grand Prize stated herein is unavailable for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
  5. CLAIMING PRIZE/RELEASES: Potential Grand Prize Winner will be notified by phone and email on April 8, 2010 and will be required to sign before a notary public and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Prize Acceptance/ Liability and (where legally permissible) a Publicity Release Form within three (3) days of receipt. Non-compliance with any of these Official Rules may result in disqualification and the Grand Prize will be awarded to an alternate Grand Prize Winner in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries provided sufficient time remains prior to the Grand Prize Trip. If the potential Grand Prize Winner is ineligible, or declines the Grand Prize, the Grand Prize will be forfeited and an alternate Grand Prize Winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries provided sufficient time remains prior to the Grand Prize Trip. Grand Prize Winner's Guest will be required to execute and return a Liability and Publicity Release (where permissible) prior to travel or will not be permitted to accompany Grand Prize Winner on trip. If the Affidavit/Release is returned as undeliverable, or if the Grand Prize is forfeited for any reason whatsoever, the Grand Prize Winner will be disqualified, and the Grand Prize will be awarded to an alternate Grand Prize Winner who will be selected in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries provided sufficient time remains prior to the Grand Prize Trip. If the Grand Prize Winner is a Canadian resident, he/she will also be required to correctly answer a mathematical question without assistance (10 x 25 ÷ 5 + 30 – 5 =__). The potential Grand Prize Winner is not the Grand Prize Winner until his/her submission of notification materials is verified.
  6. INTERNET: If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to an infection by a computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes, at which time, Sponsor will conduct a random drawing from among all eligible entries received by the time of the Sweepstakes termination. The Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. The Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by the Sponsor due to technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participating in this Sweepstakes or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for undeliverable e-mails resulting from any form of active or passive e-mail filtering by a user's Internet service provider and/or e-mail client or for insufficient space in user's e-mail account to receive e-mail. Sponsor reserves the right to freeze or close an account or to prohibit the participation of a registered individual if fraud or tampering is suspected, or if the individual registrant fails to comply with any requirement of participation as stated herein or with any provision in these Official Rules. SPONSOR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR INCOMPATIBILITY OF ENTRANT'S HARDWARE, SOFTWARE OR BROWSER TECHNOLOGY WITH SPONSOR'S HARDWARE, SOFTWARE OR BROWSER TECHNOLOGY. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute as to the identity or eligibility of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the "Authorized Account Holder" of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the natural person 21 years of age or older who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, education institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Use of automated devices are not valid for entry.
  7. GENERAL: By entering this Sweepstakes, entrants and Grand Prize Winner: (1) agree to be bound by these Official Rules; (2) agree to release Sponsor and its respective parent companies, and their employees, subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions, advertising and promotion, fulfillment and/or judging agencies, and related entities from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, costs or expenses, including without limitation property damages, personal injury and/or death arising out of participating in this Sweepstakes, or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery; and (3) consent to the use of his/her name, voice, picture, and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium throughout the world in perpetuity without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. Sponsor may discontinue this Sweepstakes at any time. Sponsor may terminate any Sweepstakes or decide to modify it in any manner that it deems fair and equitable to participants if it becomes aware of any occurrence that would materially affect the Sweepstakes’ security and fairness. Sponsor may prohibit individuals from participating in Sweepstakes and disqualify entries if they (1) attempt to enter the Sweepstakes through any means other than as described in these Rules, (2) attempt to disrupt the Sweepstakes or circumvent the terms and conditions of these Rules in any way or (3) repeatedly show a disregard for the Sweepstakes Rules or act (a) in an unsportsmanlike manner, or (b) with an intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrant or Sponsor. Sponsor’s decisions with respect to the Sweepstakes are final.
  8. USE OF INFORMATION: The information that you provide in connection with the Sweepstakes may be used for Sponsor's internal purposes and to send you information about Sponsor's products and special promotions but will not be provided to third parties, except as necessary for the administration of the Sweepstakes or as required by law or legal process. Entry constitutes permission to post winner's name on Website and to use winner's name, hometown and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and promotion without further compensation unless prohibited by law. NAME OF WINNER: To receive the name of the Grand Prize Winner (available after March 7, 2012), send a self-addressed, stamped #10 envelope to be received by July 8, 2010 to: "Vegas Business Pays Off" Sweepstakes Winner, c/o Centra Marketing & Communications, LLC, 1400 Old Country Road, Suite 420-Dept. 312 -PL, Westbury, NY 11590.
