bathroom fixtures in all hotel rooms, a fully renovated William Hill sports book, a new casino bar, the addition of a new hospitality suite and a new players club/welcome center combination.

The redevelopment of SLS Las Vegas is expected to infuse $400 million into the local economy, as well as create a projected 8,600 direct and indirect jobs.
Genting Group Chairman KT Lim announced plans for a transformational new development project at the former Echelon site along the Las Vegas Strip. Genting announced it has acquired the 87-acre parcel from Boyd Gaming Corporation, which will be the future site of Resorts World Las Vegas, Genting's first destination resort in Las Vegas. Resorts World Las Vegas will be a world-class, Asian-themed destination resort with 3,500 rooms in the first phase, as well as 175,000 square feet of total gaming space across several gaming floors and numerous luxury dining and retail amenities. The resort will also include additional convention space for Las
Vegas trade shows, helping the city attract international business travelers with a distinct focus on business-to-business events and conferences. It is expected to open in 2016.
Caesars Entertainment Corporation announced a collaboration with nightlife impresario Victor Drai to launch an intimate urban resort at the location of the former Bill's Gamblin'
Hall & Saloon in the heart of the Strip. The boutique hotel project is scheduled to open in early 2014 following a $185 million renovation. Featuring 188 Parisian apartment-style guest rooms, including 19 suites, the property will be designed by Tandem Las Vegas. An intimate lobby space will welcome guests upon arrival, with a redesigned lobby bar, ultra-lounge, retail outlets and 40,000-square-foot casino. A destination restaurant overlooking the Strip will round out the guest experience. Gansevoort Las Vegas will also feature Drai's Beach Club and Nightclub, which is Drai's reinvention of Las Vegas nightlife featuring a 65,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor nightclub and rooftop pool experience.
MGM Resorts International and AEG announced the companies have entered into an agreement to pursue the development of a privately funded, 20,000-seat indoor arena on land located west of the Las Vegas Strip, between New York-New York and Monte Carlo. The new arena will be capable of hosting boxing and various sporting events, major headline entertainment and other special events. The overall project will involve new retail shops, dining and entertainment offerings, both between the two properties and along the resort's frontage on the world-famous Las Vegas Strip.
Elevating the guest experience at one of the world's most iconic resorts, Bellagio completed a remodel of all 928 rooms and suites in its Spa Tower. Additionally, the resort introduced three new Executive Parlor Suites designed with entertainment and technology in mind. Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino has announced it will develop an exciting new thrill ride called VooDoo Skyline. The exhilarating attraction will deliver a Las Vegas experience unlike any other - sending guests soaring higher than 400 feet in the air at electrifying speeds, offering 360-degree open-air views of the Las Vegas Strip. The one-minute and 10-second zip ride will take off from VooDoo Lounge, located atop Rio's 50-story Masquerade tower, sending guests cascading more than 800 feet to the Ipanema tower and reaching speeds up to 33 miles per hour. VooDoo Skyline will accommodate up to two riders at one time and will have a unique
feature - on the return trip, guests will ride an additional 800 feet to the starting point facing backwards, a total ride of nearly one-third of a mile.
Fremont Street Experience has announced the creation of "SlotZilla," the world's first powered-launch zipline attraction, to be built in downtown Las Vegas. SlotZilla will be a two-level thrill ride. Riders on the upper four ziplines will take off approximately 100 feet above ground. Riders, lying flat in a harness, will be launched to a speed that will zoom them 1,700 feet under the Fremont Street Experience canopy. Riders on the lower four ziplines will take off approximately 70 feet above ground and zip 800 feet to a mid-point landing platform.
Meetings and Conventions
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority unveiled its plans for the Las Vegas Global Business District, an overarching vision for the Las Vegas Convention Center and the surrounding area. The Las Vegas Global Business District will create an international business destination by incorporating major renovations of the Las Vegas Convention Center, leverage the World Trade Center designation and develop transportation connectivity through a centralized hub. Plans call for the Las Vegas Global Business District to be developed in phases over several
years. The first phase, to begin over the next two years, will include programming and design, the development of overall budget, improvements to the current space at the Las Vegas Convention Center and land acquisition.
McCarran International Airport recently opened its newest terminal, T3. With 1.9 million square
feet divide into three levels, the new terminal is equipped with 14 new gates, seven of which can handle direct international flights. The baggage claim area handles the needs of up to 16 gates and allows traffic from the D gates to be diverted to avoid congestion during peak hours. With this new state of the art terminal, travel to Las Vegas just got easier.
