First Friday Las Vegas Celebrates 10 Years of Art and Community

The First Friday Las Vegas arts and culture festival continues to evolve and draw huge crowds from around the valley and beyond for a night of art, music, food and more. This month, First Friday is celebrating 10 years of art and community in Downtown Las Vegas. With the theme of 10, this anniversary event will be full of exciting activities, including an attempt to break 10 world records involving pumpkins in a single day. Motley Brews 2012 Downtown Brew Festival Comes to Las Vegas

4th Annual Vegas Cinefest Returns October 3-6

On Oct. 3, the 4th annual Vegas CineFest ("VCF") International Film Festival will kick off another year celebrating the arts in film and music. The festival will run from Oct. 3-6 and will be held at Palms Casino Resort. This year, the festival will screen 140 films from around the world and will feature panels designed to educate independent filmmakers. Third Annual Las Vegas Halloween Parade Hits Downtown on Halloween Night

The Las Vegas Halloween Parade returns for its third annual event on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. The parade, free and for all ages, will include art cars, music, fire performances, a costume contest, giant puppets, mobile artworks and the unexpected by the wonderful, imaginative people of Las Vegas. The parade begins on Garces and Fourth Street (just north of Charleston Blvd.) and ends on Third Street between Ogden and Stewart for the free after party. The best places to watch the parade will be north or south of Fremont Street on Fourth Street. The 2011 Halloween parade drew more than 12,000 participants and spectators and that number is expected to grow in 2012. Rod Stewart Extends Schedule of Las Vegas Residency into 2013

Glittering Lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Announces 2012 Holiday Event Details

Glittering Lights, the holiday drive-through spectacular, will brighten Las Vegas Motor Speedway with the world's largest light tunnel and more than 450 animated light displays along a 2.5-mile racetrack. This season Glittering Lights is expanding with more displays that include a NASCAR scene and avenue of trees. The largest regional holiday light show is all LED, a more energy-efficient way to entertain Las Vegas. The show runs nightly from Nov. 16, 2012 through Jan. 6, 2013. Tom Colicchio to Open New Steakhouse at The Mirage

Tom Colicchio, renowned New York chef and head judge of Bravo's "Top Chef," will bring his passion for cooking with fire to the Las Vegas Strip with the opening of a new restaurant at The Mirage. Caesars Entertainment has revealed plans to re-name the company's center-Strip resort currently known as Imperial Palace to The Quad Resort & Casino. Guests will begin to see the brand transformation on property as early as November, but the official conversion will be completed by Dec. 21, 2012 with renovation plans scheduled for completion by late 2013. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino In the Midst of Renovation

Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort Kicks Off its 50th Anniversary Season with New Chairlift

Commemorating its 50th anniversary, Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort (LVSSR) will replace Chair 3 with Rabbit Peak Quad, a brand new, energy-efficient lift, offering a safe and modern device for beginning skiers and snowboarders. Exotics Racing Unveils New Private Track

Exotics Racing has revved up their driving adventure with the recent completion of the new private race track. Tailored to thrill seekers of all ages, the track design affords the ability to run in different configurations. This provides the opportunity for a unique and new experience for returning guests. The D Las Vegas Announces Grand Opening Festivities
