Life is Beautiful Festival Announces 2014 Official Lineup

The Life is Beautiful Festival, Oct. 24-26, has announced the official lineup and programming details for its highly-anticipated sophomore year. Expanding from a two-day to a three-day cultural event in response to the success of its first year, Life is Beautiful will once again play host to the world's top musicians, chefs and cultural icons for an inspiring weekend in Downtown Las Vegas. Expanding in both longevity and in scope, this year's festival will feature nearly 70 chart-topping acts, dozens of culinary giants, and world-renowned speakers, all on four massive stages in the heart of the newly revived Downtown Las Vegas, with unexpected art installations and several Culinary Villages. New Exhibit Honoring Jackie Gaughan Now on Display at El Cortez Hotel & Casino

In conjunction with the Museum of Gaming History, the El Cortez Hotel & Casino unveiled a new mobile exhibit honoring downtown gaming legend Jackie Gaughan. Summer Arrives at Bellagio's Conservatory & Botanical Gardens

Celebrate summer in the cool 69-degree Conservatory with an array of colorful finches and canaries as they flutter inside a New England style open glass green house. An oversized tree with a tree house atop is a sight to see with larger-than-life birds made of organic materials, including natural seeds alongside custom designed kites suspended overhead. On either side of the tree house, life-size horses gallop through dancing sunflowers and vibrant blossoming buds. Mercadito Brings a New Flavor of Mexican Cuisine to Red Rock Resort

The Mob Museum Unveils New Bugsy Siegel, Illegal Casino Displays

For the first time, rare gambling artifacts were unveiled in two separate displays at The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement. The new displays represent the collaboration between The Mob Museum and the Museum of Gaming History, a preservation project of the more than 1,800 members of the international Casino Chip and Gaming Token Collectors Club. The first display, located on the Museum's second floor in the Open City section, features rare, early to mid-20th century casino chips, photographs and other memorabilia from the 1946 opening of Bugsy Siegel's Flamingo Hotel. The second display, located on the third floor in the Evidence Room, presents artifacts from legendary illegal gambling halls around the United States. Both displays opened simultaneously with an exhibit debuting at the El Cortez Hotel-Casino, which features casino chips and other objects from the many downtown casinos once operated by the late Jackie Gaughan. Comedian Jeff Dunham is the Newest Las Vegas Resident at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino

Having toured and performed to sold-out venues across the globe over the last 28 years, comedian Jeff Dunham will be calling Las Vegas his exclusive home with the announcement of his residency show  "JEFF DUNHAM: Not Playing with a Full Deck"  opening Friday, Nov. 28 at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Clean the World Receives New Equipment with Las Vegas Sands Partnership

Las Vegas Sands Corp. and Clean the World, a not-for-profit global hygiene organization, recently unveiled new manufacturing equipment at Clean the World's Las Vegas facility that will help the organization double its production of recycled soap, helping people in need both domestically and around the globe. In addition to the new equipment, the two organizations also announced LVS' underwriting of 100,000 Clean the World hygiene kits for distribution through the American Red Cross to local and national disaster victims and a mass community effort to build the kits at LVS' Venetian and Palazzo properties. The new soap recycling equipment and disaster relief kit build have been made possible as part of a $1 million corporate partnership between LVS and Clean the World in 2014 - the largest corporate donation in Clean the World's history. Liaison Nightclub Opens at Bally's Las Vegas 

Never has a nightclub catering specifically to LGBT patrons been located inside the doors of a Las Vegas Strip casino venue. But that all changed when the new 7,000-square-foot Liaison Nightclub opened its doors to the public on June 20. The nightclub, launched by Las Vegas nightclub impresario Victor Drai and gay nightlife king Eduardo Cordova, in partnership with Caesars Entertainment, made history when Bally's Las Vegas welcomed the luxurious new nightclub. Neon Museum Debuts Neon Boneyard North Gallery
